Currently StudentBlogs.co.uk is running on the popular blogging software WordPress. I very much like WordPress, and this website is running on it, but it isnt an aggregator.

So, I have decided to give it an upgrade, and using the Zend Framework and Magpie RSS, I will create a new RSS aggregator designed for blogs!

It is all in the very early stages of planning, but I intend to take a prototyping approach to this project, i.e. hack away until we get something which does the job, after all, this one’s just for fun!

I was looking through the incoming links on my WordPress dashboard the other day and noticed a link from the BBC so I thought I’d check it out.

It turns out the BBC spotted StudentBlogs.co.uk and placed it on one of their posts: Blogging About Blogging

StudentBlogs.co.uk is just getting started and is just something I’m doing in my spare time, however I’m hoping it can be a bit of a social experiment, producing a reflection of student lives all over the UK. If your interested in getting involved, let me know using the Student Blogs BlogRoll page
