The fact that the cameras are there to catch speeding motors, and they do, proves that they are a failure as a deterant. With sat nav, local radio, and local knowledge you can avoid getting caught.
It would be a much better idea to make speeding socially unacceptable, just as drink driving has.
This could be done by :-
charging drivers with murder, not manslaughter,
by more coverage in the media and by
adopting a system used in France. The radar is not linked to a camera, but traffic lights. A car speeding, will cause the lights to go red. so any time gained by speeding will be lost by stopping, you and every one going your way. You will find that lorry drivers are keen to point out your error to you.
I know this would be hard to do on motorways, but on normal roads it would make speeding drivers very unpopular with their fellow drivers. and so be reduced

Hi. I have a Nokia 6600 Slide and downloaded your plugin for iSync.
Still doesn’t work. iSync still says “This device is not supported by iSync”

Is there anything I can do to get to the reason for this?

Yes Johannes, it is a problem of many.
I tried almost every trick to fix that, but unsuccessfully. I even rewrote the plugin, changing more than one parameter.
I think it is a device limit. Probably a new firmware would fix that, but I can’t see any commitment from Nokia on such device model issue.

I have the same problem as many others with my 6600i slide. It works sometimes but is just too unstable. It seems that it has problems with some types of calendar entries or if there are too many contacts or entries.

I tried the nokia 3600 slide plugin. The phone is recognized, but synchro stop at 35 % of the contact or calendar. Any idea or workaround?

Thank you for the software for iSyncing a Nokia 6600i slide with Mac OSX 10.5.8
It worked well the first few times, but now it stops: always at the same places…! With the contacts after 89%, and with the calendar after 85 of 370 pieces of information. Have you any idea why this might be, and what the remedy is? I would be very grateful for any help and advice

Hi Paul,

download your Nokia 3600 Slide iSync Plugin today and install it on Mac OS X 10.6.2 (10C540) works very fine.

Only first isync with Nokia 3600 Slide fails. But after a second sync everything works great.

Hi Paul,

I´m using an iMac Intel Core 2 duo, Mac OS X 10.6.2 and a Nokia 6600i slide. With your software, I could synchronize ical and adressbook some times and were happy. But now I can´t.

When I try to sync, it stops at 55% everytime. On the phone comes the message:
“Data transfer not possible. Check data connection.”
and the following message appears on iSync:
There was an error getting data from the phone.

Do you know what to do?

iSync says: »couldn’t find the plugin for this phone« – it says it in german in my case, so the tranlation might be a little different.

I am running Snow Leopard 10.6.2 : no success on installing the *.phoneplugin Folder to user/library/PhonePlugins

Thanks for these plug-ins but i’v got a problem with the 3600 slide. The plug in seems to works and syncing until 17% and after crashed.

What can i do ?

The 3600 plugin also works with the 2680s by replacing “3600 Slide” with “2680s” everywhere. Thanks a lot!
